The Role:

As a Lead Data Platform Engineer, you will take ownership of designing and delivering high-performance data platforms that enable analytics, AI/ML, and real-time insights across the organization. You will mentor junior engineers, drive architectural decisions, and collaborate with stakeholders to align the data platform roadmap with business objectives. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys both coding and guiding a team toward innovative solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable and reliable Data Platform with real-time and batch processing solutions. 
  • Build and maintain the Infra with best IoC practices 
  • Architect data solutions that support machine learning, business analytics, and real-time processing.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, conducting code reviews and setting coding standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve data challenges.
  • Drive improvements in infrastructure, automation, and monitoring to enhance platform scalability and performance.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance with internal policies and industry best practices.
  • Stay current with the latest data trends and technologies, and make recommendations to keep the platform ahead of the curve.
Mandatory Qualifications:
  • 6-8 years of hands-on experience in Building and managing Large Scale Data Platforms.
  • Experience with Version control, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, Docker, and IaC tools.
  • Strong Experience in Building and Maintaining Data Intensive APIs and Distributed Data Processing Systems
  • Strong programming skills in Scala, Golang, and optimizing SQL queries.
  • Experience with both relational SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, Microservices, event-driven architectures, and Stream processing frameworks.
  • Experience working in cross-functional, agile environments.
  • Open-source contributions or active participation in developer communities.

Prior experience in a product-based company is highly preferred.
