The Team & The Mission
We are a tight-knit, high-performing squad (1 Team Lead, 1 PM, 1 Frontend, 2 Backend Engineers). Our mission is to provide flexible tools for hotels to collect and understand guest feedback.
We operate with a healthy balance of synchronous collaboration and asynchronous focus. We value quick iterations, but never at the cost of data consistency or robustness.
What You Will Do (The Impact)
    • You will be the "right hand" to our Team Lead. You won't just implement, you will define how we implement.
    • Own the Architecture: You will design robust solutions for major initiatives. You will define service boundaries, make hard scalability trade-offs, and improve system observability.
    • Coordinate & Align: You will coordinate backend decisions with other teams, aligning API contracts and shared infrastructure to ensure cohesive systems across the organization.
    • Product Partnership: You will collaborate closely with our Product Manager to understand user needs. You will evaluate technical solutions based on customer value, ensuring we don't just build features, but outcomes.
    • Technical Leadership: You will lead refactoring initiatives and enforce code quality. You will mentor other engineers, lead design sessions, and continuously elevate our engineering culture.
    • Build for Scale: Using Argo Workflows and Python, you will ensure our data pipelines are reliable, testable, and maintainable.

Who You Are
    • You represent "Senior" soft skills: You know that software engineering is 50% code and 50% communication. You can delegate to yourself, manage your own time, and keep stakeholders informed without being chased.
    • You focus on Fundamentals: We use Python, but we care more about backend design, domain modeling, testing strategy, and long-term reliability than deep stack specialization. If you come from another ecosystem and can demonstrate solid engineering judgment, we'll support the learning curve.
    • You think "Why" before "What": You naturally consider user outcomes. You reduce complexity, manage technical debt strategically, and simplify systems when beneficial. You ensure every line of code serves a business purpose.
    • You are pragmatic: We have a high operational load. You know how to balance performance, maintainability, and delivery speed.
    • Fluent in English: We are an international team, and clear written and verbal communication is our lifeblood.
    • Experience requirement: You bring at least 10 years of professional experience as a software engineer, with preferably 3 years working with Python, including substantial backend development experience.
