Valence has built the only AI native coaching platform for enterprise, offering personalized, expert, and human-like guidance and support to any leader or employee. We’re not just talking about the future of work — we’re building it now, with the most innovative Fortune 500 companies across healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, and technology.
Our focus is on the problems that actually decide whether AI changes how organizations operate — the ones with no playbook, no obvious answers, and no guarantee of success. If you want to be part of the small group that defines how AI transforms the future at a global scale, this is your chance.
And this isn’t for everyone. We’re not looking for people who want predictability or incremental progress. We only want those who are restless at the edge of what’s possible, who get bored when things feel “done,” and who are driven to redefine what AI can mean for leaders, companies, and the world. Because at Valence, the work worth doing is the kind that redefines work itself.
The Role
In this role, you’ll be hands-on shaping the technical foundation of our LLM-powered product’s user experience used by leaders at Fortune 500 companies. You’ll work closely with our Technical Lead, designers, and product visionaries to ship real features fast, refine user flows, and build polished, resilient interfaces that redefine how enterprises approach learning and leadership. This is not an incremental build. It’s a ground-floor opportunity to create and own user-facing systems in a category-defining product.

Working at Valence means you'll work directly with Fortune 500 technology leaders, building expertise through the most complex enterprise deployments while gaining insight into diverse organizational approaches to AI transformation. These aren't just any enterprise clients - they're the companies defining what AI-first business transformation looks like across every major industry.
What You'll Do
- Build polished, user-friendly interfaces using modern frontend frameworks ( Vue.js preferred, React, Svelte, or similar also welcome)
- Go beyond just coding—dive into user metrics, analyze FullStory recordings, and talk to users to inform product decisions
- Collaborate with product, design, and customer success to deliver features that solve real user problems
- Own end-to-end flows: from frontend delivery to integration with backend systems
- Ensure performance, accessibility, and scalability across enterprise environments
- Debug across the stack when needed and contribute to backend code where necessary
- Help shape hiring, tooling, and internal processes as we grow
What We're Looking For
- Engineering Skills: You’ve got significant experience in a combination of scaling startups and best-in-class engineering organizations, with deep expertise in modern frontend frameworks ( Vue.js preferred, React, Svelte, or similar also welcome). You’re comfortable owning UI systems end-to-end and can contribute on the backend when needed.
- UX Obsessed: You genuinely care about how users interact with the product. You dive into metrics, watch FullStory recordings, and talk to users to ensure the experiences you build are not just functional, but delightful and intuitive.
- Builder at Heart: You’ve architected and shipped production-grade, user-facing systems. You balance polish with speed, knowing when to prioritize craftsmanship and when to push scrappy experiments to learn fast.
- Versatile and Pragmatic: You move fluidly between crafting elegant abstractions and delivering quick solutions when time to insight matters most. You’re not afraid to step outside the frontend layer to unblock progress.
- Product Focused: You care as much about usability, accessibility, and adoption as you do about code quality. You think beyond “does it work” to “does it work for the user, at scale, and in enterprise environments.”
- Startup Fluent: You thrive in ambiguity, value momentum over perfection, and happily wear multiple hats when it means unblocking the team.
- Customer-Centered Operator: You validate decisions with data and real feedback, balancing user needs with business priorities. You believe observation beats assumption every time.
What You'll Get
- Ownership of projects and strategic priorities regardless of seniority.
- Strong ties to the executive team, a culture of transparency and engagement with strategic decisions.
- Options from day one, which means you will be on the ownership track right away.
- Competitive salary and equity packages.
- Comprehensive health coverage (medical, dental, and vision) from day 1.
- Provision of anything you need to be successful - learning tools, hardware, office equipment, software.
- Generous PTO, company-wide R&R shutdowns and paid leave for parents.
- A WFH stipend, phone stipend and support to work in a We Work or other space as preferred.
