What you'll do

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer with deep backend expertise and a passion for building maintainable, scalable systems across diverse platforms. You’ll lead the design and development of integration services that connect Clara with ERP, CRM, and fintech platforms. This role is pivotal to the technical foundation of our ecosystem, where clean architecture and reliability are paramount.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing backend services using Java and other modern languages like Python, Go, or Node.js

  • Designing RESTful APIs with TLS encryption, OAuth2, and JWT, ensuring robust security and reliability

  • Implementing scalable integration architectures and reusable service contracts

  • Managing integrations with platforms such as Mendel, handling data synchronization, authentication, and transaction processing

  • Seamlessly integrating with ERP and CRM systems (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, NetSuite)

  • Writing maintainable, well-documented code and contributing to engineering standards

  • Mentoring other engineers and participating in code reviews to foster technical growth across the team

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Must haves

  • 7+ years of experience in backend development using Java and at least one additional language (Go, Python, or Node.js)

  • Deep experience with system integrations and API service design

  • Familiarity with fintech platforms such as Mendel, and secure integration practices

  • Strong knowledge of ERP and CRM integration flows and requirements

  • Proven ability to design modular, maintainable systems and scalable infrastructure

  • Experience with secure API development using industry-standard protocols

  • Working proficiency in English and Spanish

  • Passion for solving complex problems and owning end-to-end system quality

Nice to haves

  • Experience in fintech or financial systems

  • Familiarity with AWS services including ECS, API Gateway, SQS, RDS, and CloudWatch

  • Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration

  • Knowledge of enterprise data pipelines and messaging platforms like Kafka or RabbitMQ

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

  • Interest in using AI tools to streamline integration workflows or monitor systems

Claridians in a hybrid mode split their time between working from the office, talking to or visiting customers, or working from home. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for each individual and team.

We don't enforce a minimum number of days for most roles, but you're expected to spend time at the office organically, and be at the office most days during your ramp-up or when required by your leader.
