WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are seeking engineers who can collaborate closely with Product Owners and Business Development teams in an agile development environment, accurately capture business requirements, and translate them into optimal system designs. You will participate in new business development projects in the EV and energy domains, organizing and structuring complex requirements to define system designs and technical directions. We welcome individuals who combine strong leadership in upstream processes with hands-on execution capabilities, collaborating with Product Owners and Business Development teams to comprehensively drive projects — from requirements definition and design planning to MVP/PoC development and full-scale implementation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
・Requirements Gathering & Definition
・Collaborate closely with Product Owners to clarify business and customer requirements
・Analyze business workflows and user scenarios, and translate them into actionable system requirements
・Organize requirements into a structured product backlog to ensure a shared understanding across the development team
・Define development priorities and scope based on business objectives and technical feasibility
・System Design & Architecture
・Design application functionalities and define the overall module structure
・Develop API specifications, data models, and external system integration designs
・Drive continuous improvement and process optimization, including DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
・Technical PoC & MVP Development
・Lead technical proof-of-concept (PoC) initiatives to validate feasibility, cost efficiency, and scalability
・Define technical architecture for MVP development to verify product value with minimal viable functionality
・Collaborate with development teams to conduct sprint-based implementation reviews and validate deliverables
・Leverage customer feedback and pilot data for data-driven analysis, evaluation, and improvement proposals
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience collaborating with Product Owners and BizDev teams to gather and define business requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in system requirements definition, basic design, and architecture design
- 3+ years of experience in developing backend or frontend software
- Practical experience in API design, data modeling, and integration with external systems
- Practical experience in software development using Python
- Experience leading development teams and vendors from a technical perspective, including design review and quality management
- Experience in agile or scrum development
NICE TO HAVES
- 3+ years of practical development experience using at least one modern programming language such as C++, C#, Java, Go, Node.js, or Ruby
- 3+ years of experience developing with frontend technologies such as TypeScript or React
- Experience participating in projects within AI, IoT, energy, or mobility domains
- 3+ years of experience developing systems using cloud technologies, including microservice architectures
- Business-level proficiency in both English and Japanese, with strong communication skills
